Introduction:

‘Love’ is the eternal theme, and the root for every piece of emotion. We live at the present, a moment that is built up from the moments in the past. For artists, every piece of art is filled up with their interpretation of experience and emotions from the past up to present. Loved You Once is not only referring to a specific person, story or subject, but also showing our devoted love to the present moment that could easily turned into the past. To quote Joseph Beuys, ‘Every living person becomes a creator, a sculptor, or architect of the social organism’. Adhering to this concept, the instant art project Loved You Once is adapting a crossover creation of drawing, dancing, music and space, and to welcome pubic participation for creating. Visitors could join the performance with artists to draw, dance, even daydream and meditate in the space. Participants will integrate their personal experiences, memories and emotions into the work, and link them with the creating moment, creating the artwork of present containing the past. For participants, this creation allows them to review and wave goodbye to their past.
