YIN Yi: I Am Listening

Yuz Museum is pleased to present “I Am Listening,” the first institutional solo exhibition of Shanghai-based artist YIN Yi, from April 27 to July 13, 2025 at Yuz Project Space of Art. From sound, video, installation, performance to auditory theater, the exhibition will present a series of sound art works by Yin Yi, who has shifted from his role as an avant-garde musician to the field of contemporary art, featuring his recent observation and research on sound in Shanghai and urban public spaces.
Syaiful Aulia Garibaldi: Lartucira Field

As Qingming (Pure Brightness) and Guyu (Grain Rain) bring moisture, the warm and humid climate with continuous rainfall creates a natural breeding ground for the growth and proliferation of fungi. In the season of renewal when mycelium network silently branches out, the Public Art Project “Wander”, organized by Yuz Museum in partner-ship with Panlong Tiandi, will unveil the fourth chapter Lartucira Field, featuring a se-ries of outdoor sculptures and a large-scale painted mural by Indonesian artist Syaiful Aulia Garibaldi. The exhibition invites visitors to step into a field filled with art and the wisdom of life, where the mycelium dances with the traditional solar terms.
Werner Büttner: Fool, Leaving the Shelter of Seclusion
March 22, 2025 – June 22, 2025
Yuz Museum is pleased to present “Fool, Leaving the Shelter of Seclusion”, a major survey exhibition to chronicle, in a few exemplary steps, the trajectory of one of Germany’s most influential artists, Werner Büttner, from March 22 to June 22, 2025. It is the artist’s first institutional solo exhibition in Asia. Organized by Yuz Museum in close collaboration with the artist and the curator Thomas Eller, this exhibition features a total of 46 major works, including 39 paintings and a group of 7 sculptures, comprising a comprehensive overview of the artist’s prolific career spanning from 1979 to 2024.
